The issue with the application service has now been resolved. Early monitoring shows improvements and the message backlog is being processed. We will continue to closely monitor performance.
We've identified an application service has become unhealthy causing a knock-on effect to downstream services. Message processing is delayed due to this. We are currently working on a resolution and will post a further update shortly.
